  • Pollen morphology of 10 species and 3 varieties of yellow camellias from Guangxi has been examined under SEM.Three basic sculpes were defined. (1)viz., ornate(C.chrysantha,C.chrysantha var.microcarpa, C. tunghinensis, C.wumingensis, and C.sp.); (2)perforate(C.ptilosperma, C.chrysantha var.,and C.pubipetala), and (3)rugulate (C. euphlebia, C. microantha, C.pingguoensis, C.longgangensis, and C.sp.) Morphological divergence occurs between all species and varieties observed in respect to pollen characterictics.
