  • In 1959,according to W.B.Crow’s original diagnosis and figures of Dimorphococcus fritschii Crow,C.C.Jao considered its coenobium structure to be compound protocoenobium,which is different from that eucoenobium of other species within Genus Dimorphococcus.Therefore,he established a new genus,named Dimorphoccopsis.But the type species had not been found in China up to that date.In 2004,we collected Dimorphococcopsis fritschii(Crow) Jao from Qinglinjing Reservoir in Shenzhen.This study represents its first report in China.
