  • This paper revises the Chinese Phytolacca.This genus has 4 species in China, Phytolacca clavigera W.W.Smith is a new synonym of the Ph.polyandra Batalin.Ph.hunanensis Hand.-Mazz.and Ph.zhejiangensis W.T.Fan are two synonyms of the Ph.japonica Makino.Ph.esquirolii Lvl.is not this generic plant,whereas it is Mallotus millietii Lvl.(Euphorbiaceae).
