  • chromosome numbers of 18 taxa belonging to 18 genera of 14 families in Huangshan are reported in this paper,the 14 taxa and 2 genera among them are reported for the first time.The cytological results revealed the chromosome number of Aphanan the aspera 2n=28,which is different from that of Oginuma reported in 1990 Platycarya strobilacea,the cytological results revealed 2n=22,is the only genus having the diploid in the Juglandaceae as reported so far.This shows that the genus Platycarya is isolated from the other groups of the family.The chromosome number of Holboellia coriacea is 2n=32.There are three forms of chromosome number,2n=28,30, 32 in the Lardizabalaceae,the genera having 2n=28 are native to south America,the genera having the other two forms of chromosome number are native to Eastern Asia.Author considers that Decaisnea is isolated from the other genera in Lardizabalaceae.
