  • The technology system has been established to shorten the time for finishing one generation life cycle of Gastrodia elata Bl.and the seasons lasting.Methods:(1)Use the technique of control temperature;(2)Grow G.elata Bl.in districts by making use of the climate differences caused by the altitude(100 to 1500 metres)and geographical positions(from Yichang to Hainan island). The growth cycle(mature tuber-flowering-seed-immature tuber)can be fixed in any time or season by these two(methods). It is true for us to shorten the life cycle of sexual G.elata Bl.f.glauca S.Chow in Yunnan from twenty-eight months to seventeen months, and keep the good quality. We have also shortened the life cycle of the seeds of G.elata Bl.f.elata in Yichang and the crossbreed between G.elata Bl.f.elata and G.elata Bl.f.elata from twenty-four months to twelve months.
