  • This paper reports and analyses the decline state of the Abies fabri forest in Mountain Emei. The damage degree, distribution and symptom features of the fir populatiori are studied and the relationship of these above with altitude, special habitats, the breast height diameter of the fir trees and forest types is discussed. It is pointed that the fir forest decline in the mountain is not one or two and chance phenomenon, but the part of the forest decline in the world after studying some achivement from Europe and America.Sometimes the paper also agrees there are some special features of the decline there. The essential or major cause to lend the fir decline may be some causes, such as threatenning the system of forest in the world, acting in wide range and long time, and happenning in high frequency.
