Impatiens tripetala (Balsaminaceae), a new record species of Impatiens from China

  • Impatiens tripetala Roxb. ex DC.is reported here as a new record species from China. It is already known from Bangladesh and India. This species is similar to I. aureliana Hook. f. in morphology, but differs from I. aureliana in flowers solitary or fascicled, lower sepal saccular, 10-17 mm deep, spur 5.5-8 mm long, and capsule glabrous. Voucher specimens are deposited in the Herbarium of Hunan Normal University (HNNU).
