  • Based on plot research of known vascular plants,69 families,187 genera and 302 species were found along the riparian zone of Wujiang River. These plants included 9 families,10 genera, and 16 species of the pteridophyta, and 60 families,177 genera, and 286 species of the seed plants.Of seed plants found, there was 1 family,1 genus, and 1 species of gymnosperm, and 59 families,176 genera, and 285 species of angiosperm. The flora was mainly composed of herb species and shrub species.Analyses of vascular plants in the riparian zone showed that the area types of families, genera and species were abundant. For family level, there were 7 area types and 4 subtypes, for genus level, there were 13 area types and 10 subtypes, and for species level, there were 15 area types and 13 subtypes. The riparian flora had wide geographical relationships with the other flora in the world, especially with North Temperate,Pantropic and East Asian flora. In addition, the phenomena of dominant families and genera were obvious in the riparian zone. The riparian flora was subtropical in nature, and showed a close relationship with Tropical flora.
