  • The area of A’nyemaqen Mountains is situated between latitude 33°25′-36°20′N and longitude 98°50′-102°25′E.There are 752 species of seed plants that belong to 56 families and 251 genera in this region. The floristic characteristics in the area are as follows:(1)Species are poorer and the endemic genera are richer relatively.(2)It shows the clear nature of the temperate zone that is the decisive factor of the floristic characteristics.(3)By the species, the clear nature of the temperate zone and the distributional characteristics of plateau and alpine are formed by the distributed both the elements of Central Asia and East Asia, and especially both the subtype of Central Asia to Himalayan and Sino-Himalayan.(4)Most of the plants are perennial and poorest of trees.(5)By the analysis of the endemic species of China, the flora is close relationship with both the floras of Hengduan Mountains and Southern Gansu.(6)It’s specially glaring the selection of ecological factor and the alpine specialization, and appearance to adapt hydro-coldize,and coldize and droughtize in the flora. It depends on the ecological environment that is formed by the geographical position, the elevation and the climatic characteristics.(7)Shows the flora is a young and derivative that is the nature of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.(8)That are mainly, the vegetations are alpine meadows that constructed by Kobresia and alpine thickets that constructed by Salix oritrepha and Potentilla fruticosa respectively.(9)It is clear that the area characteristics are formed by Meconopsis spp.To sum up,this area is similar to Tanggute region in the floristic cha-racteristics.So the flora is not only one of the representative flora, but also one of the core flora of the Tanggute flora.
